About the event

After a week of exploration, research, and artistic collaboration, the dancers invite you to discover the fruits of their creative labor. Guided by choreographer Bérangère Andreo (all styles) and choreographers Christelle Chinonis and Olivier Coste (jazz), they have experimented with movement, developed their imagination, and together built a unique work born of their energy. These master class performances are the culmination of a choreographic journey in which every gesture tells a story. On the plaza in front of the Bateau Feu, choreographer Lionel Bègue will present *Bal Volant*, a creative and festive adventure performed with amateur dancers. Before we part ways, there will be a dance floor in the lobby so we can all celebrate the end of the festival together! As part of the Allure Folle festival. A partnership between the Bateau Feu and Château Coquelle.

Dance Video Master Class Presentation + Screening of “EN NOUS” by Juliette Binoche

After a week of work focused on video dance—a choreographed piece created exclusively to be filmed—the participants in the master class, guided by choreographer Jérémy Tran, will present their creations during an evening event at Studio 43. This performance will be followed by a screening of the documentary film “EN NOUS” by Juliette Binoche. As part of the Allure Folle festival. A partnership between Studio 43, the City of Leffrinckoucke, and Château Coquelle.

Video dance is a form of choreographic creation designed exclusively to be filmed. Situated at the intersection of dance, film, and the visual arts, it goes far beyond mere recording: it opens up a unique dialogue between the body and the image, and therein lies its distinctiveness and strength. Jérémy Tran returns to his homeland to offer a six-day master class. Usually reserved for students at higher education institutions, this is his only workshop open to the general public. Participants will be guided through the entire creative process: writing a synopsis, choreographing for the camera, filming, and editing. The goal is to provide the methodological and technical tools necessary to develop one’s own projects independently. No prior editing experience is required, but familiarity with computers is recommended. Designed as an immersive and intensive experience, this workshop may require personal time commitment outside of scheduled hours, particularly during the writing, preparation, and editing phases. It will conclude with a public screening of the participants’ work at Studio 43—an art-house cinema in Dunkirk—on Tuesday, October 13, at 6:30 p.m. Each participant will leave with a completed work, which will be presented at the screening. ➜ TARGET AUDIENCE Audience: dancers on the path to becoming professionals or already working professionals, dance teachers, choreographers, videographers, and photographers aged 16 and older. Les Midis du Bateau Feu - An Afternoon with Magda and Jacky
