About the event

In *Cabaret Tehran*, Gurshad Shaheman—in the tradition of transformist cabaret—portrays a dozen figures from Iranian pop culture through songs that mark key moments in history. Between each number, Gurshad connects the fates of these figures to personal anecdotes and struggles against religious oppression. Spanning decades, the show traces the history of feminist and queer movements in Iran, up to the “Woman, Life, Freedom” uprising of 2023. Show presented in French, with Dutch subtitles This event is organized as part of the Next Festival and Récits sans frontières, the intermunicipal storytelling arts festival organized by Château Coquelle Co-presented with Château Coquelle • Meet-and-greet at Studio 43 *Persepolis*, an animated film by Marjane Satrapi, tribute screening Thursday, November 12 | 7:00 p.m. More info and ticket prices at studio43.fr

Corpus Machin (A Story of My Weight, Body Shape, etc.)

Dunkerque

Three years ago, Pascal Reverte was the victim of a fatphobic attack. A despicable “Move it, fat pig”—thrown at him for no reason by four guys. This insult, hatefully commonplace, was deeply devastating to him personally and marked the beginning of the writing process for this show. *Corpus Machin* is a masked monologue, a stand-up routine, a gentle voice amidst a loud cry of anger.
