The Damen Shiprepair Dunkerque shipyard, one of France’s largest ship repair facilities, is opening its doors for guided tours. → 8:30 a.m.: Welcome and presentation of the floating dock and the two dry docks, one of which accommodates the world’s largest ships. → 10:30 a.m.: Tour of repair, maintenance, and conversion operations on bulk carriers, oil tankers, ferries, container ships, and military vessels. → 1:30 p.m.: Tour of Damen’s modern facilities and expertise, with a focus on local collaboration. → 3:30 p.m.: The day concludes with a tour of the work areas and collaboration spaces. The tour is open to visitors ages 18 and older; please wear flat, closed-toe shoes and bring a valid ID. Parking is available near Port 2580, 2580 Route des Docks Flottants, 59140 Dunkirk.
