About the event

An exceptional workshop featuring four instructors from Lyon: Adam Baheux, a former student of the Outreau Dance School, Léonore Faurite, Chloë Mattutzu, and Nolwenn Duault. The program includes three disciplines—yoga, jazz, and contemporary—and three skill levels to choose from. The workshop is open to participants ages 6 and up, including both EMMD students and the general public. It concludes on Friday, October 23, at 8:00 p.m. with a performance, where participants will present what they’ve learned to their families and friends. She discovered dance as a child at Château Coquelle before continuing her training at the École du Ballet du Nord. She then embarked on a professional career as a dancer, first in Germany and then in Spain at the La Faktoria choreographic center. Having started ballet at the age of 7, Sonia Servranckx attended various dance workshops, including some at the prestigious “Princess Grace” Dance Academy in Monte Carlo, directed at the time by Marika Besobrasova, before enrolling at the Braine-l’Alleud Academy. At age 17, she completed her studies by unanimously receiving the First Prize for Excellence and the Belgian Government Medal. She also took classes with Kay Kirk, a professor at the Royal Academy of London. In 1980, she founded her own dance school. As part of the Allure Folle festival.
