Par Margaux Liénard et Julien Biget Dans le cadre de la Semaine de Découverte Artistique GRATUIT (réservation conseillée – Places limitées) Blues, early Jazz, Folksongs & Cajun tunes, c’est dans l’inépuisable vivier du delta du Mississippi des années trente et dans le répertoire des folksingers qui disent l’Amérique des gens de peu que Margaux Lienard & Julien Biget puisent leur inspiration pour faire naître « Sing Sing ». En unissant deux voix, un violon d’amour et une guitare slide, les deux musiciens habillent leur blues d’une dentelle folk délicate, et le transportent dans un théâtre nouveau. Entrelacées de mélodies fines, et de sonorités presque baroques, les chansons rugueuses de l’Amérique rurale se métamorphosent et arborent une élégance inattendue. Mais tout est là, intact : tranches de vie, airs de fêtes, amours perdues et joies retrouvées, toutes les émotions d’un vague à l’âme intemporel.

Sing Sing By Margaux Liénard and Julien Biget As part of Art Discovery Week Friday, October 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. François Mitterrand Arts and Culture Center FREE (reservations recommended – limited seating) Blues, early jazz, folk songs, and Cajun tunes: Margaux Liénard and Julien Biget draw their inspiration from the inexhaustible wellspring of the 1930s Mississippi Delta and the repertoire of folk singers who give voice to the America of ordinary people to bring “Sing Sing” .” By combining two voices, a violon d’amour, and a slide guitar, the two musicians adorn their blues with delicate folk lace, transporting it into a new realm. Interwoven with subtle melodies and almost baroque sounds, the rugged songs of rural America are transformed and take on an unexpected elegance. But everything is still there, intact: slices of life, festive tunes, lost loves, and rediscovered joys—all the emotions of a timeless melancholy.

Hermann Loup Noir is the meeting of two myths. On one hand, there’s the terrifying wolf, feared by all, yet existing only to embody the savagery of mankind. On the other hand, the wandering bluesman, dragging his “devil’s” music along the roads, a guitar case in hand and his head full of laments. Two loners, two outcasts; this is the story of the eternal villain who is finally given a voice. A guitarist with a golden voice, Manuel Paris has made his mark across contemporary music, theater, and storytelling. Here, he presents a musical solo performance, blending blues standards with original compositions. An echo of the history of the African American people, but also of the issues that affect us all—fear and exclusion.
