The Wriggles sing about humor, the absurd, and those little truths that really hit home. Through their songs, they depict the world as they see it: it makes you laugh, cringe… and sometimes even moves you to tears. For this new tour, the band is celebrating 30 years on stage with a show that’s just like them: free-spirited, offbeat, and as exhilarating as ever. The setlist features recent tracks like “Aimé,” poetically absurd; “Sboudibou,” surprisingly electric; and “Barbeuc Party,” decidedly festive—as well as classics such as “Poupine et Thierry” and “La Petite Olive.” A unique world, a poetically absurd blend of humor and poetry that transcends generations with undiminished energy. In a fast-paced, hard-hitting hour-long performance, he recounts with disarming sincerity his doubts, his blunders, and his (often failed!) attempts to understand this new role. How can you be a father today when you grew up with a different set of values? How do you talk about modernity, gender, or social media… when you’re already overwhelmed by TikTok?
