The Wriggles

Music February 20, 2027 Calais 18€

About the event

The Wriggles sing about humor, the absurd, and those little truths that really hit home. Through their songs, they depict the world as they see it: it makes you laugh, cringe… and sometimes even moves you to tears. For this new tour, the band is celebrating 30 years on stage with a show that’s just like them: free-spirited, offbeat, and as exhilarating as ever. The setlist features recent tracks like “Aimé,” poetically absurd; “Sboudibou,” surprisingly electric; and “Barbeuc Party,” decidedly festive—as well as classics such as “Poupine et Thierry” and “La Petite Olive.” A unique world, a poetically absurd blend of humor and poetry that transcends generations with undiminished energy. Price Category D: €18 | €16 | €14 | €9. Seated concert.

Rhythm as a universal language. Pure energy. With Les Fills Monkey, it all starts with a beat… and nothing stops after that. Their drumsticks strike, twirl, dance, and unleash a veritable storm of sounds and emotions. Blending concert, visual spectacle, and burlesque performance, the duo transports the audience into a world where rhythm becomes a universal, immediate, and instinctive language. Funny, virtuosic, and incredibly inventive, Les Fills Monkey blend energy, humor, poetry, and surprises to create a total show, accessible to everyone, young and old alike. Between acoustic percussion and futuristic flights of fancy, they transport us to a world suspended in time, where every beat resonates as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Mathieu Madenian - Laugh Until You Cry! (Calais Comedy Lab)

Calais

Mathieu Madenian returns to the stage with a show that’s as hilarious as it is touching—undoubtedly the most personal of his career. With a blend of biting self-deprecation and a sharp eye on our times, he takes us on a journey through the major upheaval in his life: becoming a father… later in life. In a fast-paced, hard-hitting hour-long performance, he recounts with disarming sincerity his doubts, his blunders, and his (often failed!) attempts to understand this new role. How can you be a father today when you grew up with a different set of values? How do you talk about modernity, gender, or social media… when you’re already overwhelmed by TikTok? With his unique sense of timing and his talent for turning everyday life into bursts of laughter, Mathieu Madenian delivers a show that’s both intimate and universal, in which everyone can see themselves reflected: parents, children, and even self-proclaimed boomers. A moment of pure stand-up—funny, tender, and deeply human… not to be missed. Directed by Kader Aoun. Unfiltered Q&A at 4:00 p.m. in the theater lobby. Price: €28 per night, 3-day pass €69.
