The Parrot Dune

About this place

Here, the wind shapes and shapes this dune field spanning more than 600 hectares, stretching from Bray-Dunes to La Panne in Belgium. Characterized by their large, crescent-shaped dunes, these remarkable areas consist of a mosaic of habitats where short grasslands, wet dune slacks, and shrubby thickets intermingle, supporting a rich and diverse array of flora and fauna. They are home to more than 350 plant species and a highly distinctive fauna, including 70 species of birds that nest in the dunes.

"Magician" Isn't a Job - Clément Blouin

Clément Blouin, a comedian and magician, turns the conventions of magic on their head with biting humor and disarming sincerity. In “Magician: It’s Not a Job,” he recounts his journey: his early days as a conjurer, his struggles as an activity leader at Club Med, and his first performances on the Paris stage. Co-written with Nicolas Genevaz and Thomas Caruzo Aragona, the show has taken Paris by storm (Théâtre des Mathurins, Apollo), played to a sold-out crowd at the Avignon Festival, and embarked on a national tour. Named a “favorite” newcomer on France 2 and a guest on *Cabaret* with Stéphane Bern, Clément Blouin has established himself as a modern, popular, and unifying artist.

Near the site’s entrance, the Fort des Dunes (a former fortified camp) showcases the area’s military history, with significant remnants still visible deep within the dunes themselves.
